Smeet

Smeets are a large hebiviours hexapodal species from the same planet as (kamos)[/Fates-Fabric/Species/Kamo]. Smeets evolved to dig tunnels in the large mountains of their home planet, and have large, fast growing claws to enable them to do that. They are marsupial-like creatures, with all sexes having a pouch that contain a single nipple that produces a milk-like substance. Smeets are very under developed when they are born, and are placed in the pouch of an adult in the social unit of the mother. In many smeet cultures, the first pouch barer is considered the most significant adult in a young smeet’s life, without much weight being given to the biological parents (unless, of course, one of them is the first pouch barer, a not uncommon set up).
